Says he gets more motors where the pots are Jet Black and burnt that have been using Nautilus, than any other oil type. Says only to use TCW-3 . ( Johnson OMC 140, around 1992, but only done 200 hrs.) Hmmm I use the Nautilus, and me piston tops are as clean as I have ever seen on a used motor. Nautilus is also TCW-3 as specified.

Ya i checked the label today at the store, the shell oil is ashless. I did see some Castrol snowmobile oil there that is low ash and has a API-tc rating for $20 a gallon/4L. I ran IPONE synthetic last year but its more than double the price.
